Named one of the "Best Executives to Work For in America", Luis has served as Director - Latin America and the Caribbean, Customer Service, Flight Operations, and Crew Scheduling, for more than 20 years, for one of the largest commercial airlines in the US. He is also the Co-Founder and President of CariBeat LLC, the leading Caribbean Lifestyle in the US, which he founded with his wife, Monique, in 2008. Luis brings his vast experience in senior leadership to spearhead strategic development and partner engagement at Eye of the Tiger Foundation.
With over three decades of experience in strategic communications, government affairs and international business, Mr. Harvin has practiced the arts of public, crisis, political, and corporate communication in more than 90 counties. In 2013, PRWeek named him among the top "40 PR Professionals Under 40" in the industry. Mr. Harvin co-founded and is the managing director of GlobalPoint International, a boutique global communications consultancy focused on providing strategic communications, digital media and political counsel to heads of state, multinational corporations, foreign governments and political entities around the world. He is also the Co-Founder and Executive Board Member of Vanguard Africa, a non-profit dedicated to the advancement of democracy, rule of law, human
rights and anti-corruption on the continent of Africa. Mr. Harvin is a former partner at Barbaricum, a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business focused on providing strategic communications, cyber security, intelligence and data analytics solutions, where he helped the firm grow from four employees to over 150 during which time it
became a recognized leader in the U.S. government contracting business. As a partner at the company, he was a member of the executive leadership team and managed all HR, recruiting and
marketing for the firm, along with managing client relations and building new business opportunities and joint ventures. He was also instrumental in helping the company exit small business status. During his tenure at the firm, Barbaricum was recognized with numerous other industry awards including being named by Inc. Magazine three times consecutively as one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. and by the Washington Post as a top place to work. Mr. Harvin has served in the White House multiple times and has held senior advisory positions with the Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Members of Congress and the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq. Mr. Harvin has also provided political and communications strategies to political and advocacy campaigns around the world to include U.S. Presidential, Senate and Congressional campaigns, corporate advocacy campaigns and international opposition campaigns and elections in Europe, the Caribbean, North and Central Africa, Asia and in the Middle East. He has also provided strategic communications and government affairs counsel to dozens of Heads of State and foreign governments on six
continents. Mr. Harvin has served as an advisor on six U.S. presidential campaigns, has worked for the White House and Pentagon Transition teams, served on two Presidential Inaugural Committees and has
over two decades of experience as a Lead Advance Representative for the President and Vice President of the United States. Mr. Harvin also served as an advisor to the Donald J. Trump Campaign for President, as a member of his Inaugural Campaign staff and as an advisor to the
Presidential Campaign. In the capacity of Lead Advance, he advised the Trump White House and managed official international delegations in 17 countries for the Trump Administration. Mr. Harvin, an Eagle Scout, is a member of the Center for Security Policy Advisory Board, a
conservative think tank promoting national security, defense and intelligence policy in Washington, DC; the Georgia Southern Communications Arts Alumni Advisory Board; a member
of the AEI Leadership Network; and is the Chief International Advisor and Advisory Board Member for the Advanced Development Additive Manufacturing (A.D.A.M,) Corporation, a Kazakh/U.S. biotech company that provides 3D-printing technology and patented materials to
manufacturing bioresorbable and biodegradable patent-specific bone implants. He has also studied Russian Hybrid Aggression and counter strategies extensively on the ground in Kazakhstan and in
Eastern Europe. Sought after for his insight into Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security, and industry strategy and tactics, he has been quoted in a variety of media outlets to include the Financial Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Washington Post, PR Week, LA Times, National Defense, NPR and BBC. Mr. Harvin, a native of South Carolina, resides in Washington DC with his family.
Dr. Clover Baker Brown is a senior full/tenured professor at Prince George's Community College (PGCC), MD. An excellent communicator, leader, coach, and motivator with almost twenty years of experience in higher education, she has held several faculty leadership positions, including as vice president and president of the Faculty Senate (over 252 full-time and over 600 hundred part-time faculty), advisor to the faculty senate, chair of the Academic Council, academic coordinator/chair of the Communications, Public Relations, and Journalism program, and she currently serves on the President’s Cabinet as the only faculty. Working closely with the executive vice president and provost in an advisory role, Clover led the most successful faculty senate executive board under the theme “resetting the relationships between faculty and administration" and improved the faculty/administration relationship and organizational climate demonstrably. Clover is the first Black woman to serve as the president of the Maryland Communication Association and represent the state of Maryland on the National States Advisory Council for the National Communication Association. She is currently the vice-chair of the African American Communication and Culture Division as well as the inaugural Chair of the Caribbean Communication Caucus of the National Communication Association. Clover has been recognized as Who is Who in Teaching in America, the faculty of the year, best faculty advisor, and awarded the David P. James Excellence in faculty mentoring. She is a member of Montgomery Women and serves as a Commissioner for Montgomery County, MD. Clover holds three earned academic degrees, B.A. in Broadcast Journalism, M.A. in Organizational Communication, Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration, and she is in her last year of pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational leadership.
